The special Anniversal 9.5 rope model, which we launched to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our brand, received a prestigious award from the German climbing magazine Klettern! In a competition of ten ropes, it managed to stand out and gain recognition thanks to its combination of light weight, pleasant handling and excellent performance in belaying and rappelling.
In their review, the editors of Klettern particularly appreciated the rope's low weight of just 4 kg for 60 m and its affordable price:
"This newcomer weighs just four kilograms - and yet it is available at an extremely reasonable price. This makes it suitable for those who are not afraid of long and/or steep ascents, but the high price does."
Another major plus is the 9.5mm diameter, which is friendly even for less experienced climbers. In addition, a tester from the magazine praised the rope structure, which is slightly rougher than competing models, but still very soft and comfortable to handle.
"Despite its lightness, it offers a diameter of 9.5 mm (friendly even for beginners). Handling is more pleasant, but just as pliable and with a nice texture to boot. It convinces both when clipping expressions and when belaying and abseiling."
The rope is available with and without a UIAA-compliant impregnation, so everyone can choose the option that suits them best.
So the Anniversal 9.5 isn't just an anniversary rope - it's a real winner that has earned recognition in a prestigious test. Have you tried it yet? Share your experience with us!
